Smart grid on the world stage.
Over the last year, so much of the focus on the developing Smart Grid has been related to the American Recovery and Reinstatement Act (ARRA) and the resulting funds now being administered by the Department of Energy. But it’s a big world out there. This month’s Automation Insight newsletter from KEMA examines Smart Grid development activities on the world’s stage.

Sources reveal that global spending on Smart Grid technologies should reach $200 billion during the period from 2008 to 2015. With that, a number of developing countries such as India, China and Brazil are looking to make their power grids smarter and taking noteworthy steps toward the deployment of new Smart Grid technologies.
